It was the first dress shop I walked into where I felt completely comfortable and not pressured into certain styles. I ended up going with a semi-custom dress which I was nervous about, because I have heard horror stories about custom dresses, but the process ended up being seamless. I was so incredibly pleased with the end result.

It was really difficult looking for a wedding dress that was black but not goth, until Ali from Lace and Liberty helped to create my dream dress. I told her I wanted a black wedding dress that gives goddess of the underworld vibes and she said that's no problem.
She showed me different fabrics and lace design options to chose from until I found the ones that I loved. The sketch was amazing and she even sent me picture updates on the dress! I got so many compliments on my dress.
My dress was fully custom and definitely of a kind. My dress was about $3,500 which is really good for a fully custom dress.

My mum and I came to Lace & Liberty with a modest budget and a simple idea of what we wanted my elopement dress to look like and were amazed by the experience at Lace & Liberty.

Every dress is hand made just for you and in your own proportions! Based on any existing design, we can also change the neckline shape, choose a different lining color, add removable sleeves and straps, add in support, specify the train length, and so much more!

Our San Francisco showroom is a beautiful bridal store for in-person visits, and also where we design all of our gowns - so you get a glimpse into where the magic happens!

There’s no question about your love for your partner-to-be, but there might be a few about our showroom. We’ve answered some common questions here.
Can I try on dresses at the San Francisco showroom?
Yes! We carry sample sizes of our past, current collection designs and many more to try on. You may also get to see yet to be released new designs and a wide range of the fabrics & lace options we use in our designs displayed in our studio.
What’s the guest limit for appointments and is there a fee?
We don’t charge a fee for any of our appointments. We don’t have a guest limit, however our studio is an intimate space that can comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests per party. If you have more than 5 guests let us know and we can figure out an appointment time when the showroom’s less busy.
Will I still need alterations if the design is made to my measurements?
"Made to Measure" means that we will have the pieces made in your own measurements to improve on overall fit to suit your proportions. This will ensure that the dress is made in your own proportions and your height range rather than cut from a standard sizing template. This will reduce alteration needs but not eliminate it.
We offer this service as an upgrade to using a standard size chart and reducing significant alterations. However the perfect fit is something we cannot guarantee, even without weight gain/loss, fabrics stretch and mold differently to a body. Alterations are expected and brides should always budget accordingly.
What’s your price range?
Our collection designs range from $1500-$4000, see our Collection page for specific designs & pricing. Customization options are available on all of our designs, small customization on existing gowns start at $250.
Can I design a full custom gown in the SF showroom?
Yes! Our design team can assist you in creating a unique one of a kind piece during your in person appointment in SF as well. You’ll have the added benefit of trying on our designs in similar fabrics or silhouette as a starting point, or mix & match two styles together into one perfect design. Our showroom is also home to our design studio, so we have the whole variety of luxe bridal fabrics to touch and feel in person, and our top 70-80 lace styles on display as well!
